Tuberous breasts: Composite breast augmentation<\/h1>\n

Tuberous breasts correspond to a breast malformation.<\/p>\n

Definition:<\/h3>\n

On examination, various anomalies may be present:<\/p>\n

An anomaly of the breast implant base: i.e. the width or height of the breast is reduced, resulting in abnormal breast development. In effect, the breast does not develop harmoniously because the implant base is not symmetrical in relation to the areola.
\nBreast hypotrophy or hypertrophy
\nAbnormally high sub mammary fold
\nAbnormally large mammary-areolar plaque<\/p>\n

Stadium:<\/h3>\n

Stage I:\u00a0<\/strong>This is the most common form, with only the inferomedial segment absent. The areola looks inwards and downwards. Areolar protusion may be present.<\/p>\n

Stage II :\u00a0<\/strong>The entire lower half of the breast is absent. The areola looks down.<\/p>\n

Stage III:\u00a0<\/strong>The upper and lower segments may be absent. In this case, the mammary base is completely narrowed, and the breast takes on a tube-like shape.<\/p>\n

Objective:<\/h3>\n

To regain harmonious breasts, we can combine a glandular plasty, a breast lift or a breast reduction.\u00a0breast augmentation<\/a>a breast lift and a\u00a0grease transfer<\/a>. There are many techniques available to the plastic surgeon.<\/p>\n

He or she should explain the advantages and disadvantages of each technique during the consultation. Generally speaking, if the deformity concerns a major anomaly in the base of the breast implant, a fat transfer is the best way to remedy this malformation and restore harmony to the breasts.<\/p>\n

If the gene concerns breast hypotrophy, breast augmentation by prosthesis may be desirable.<\/p>\n

In the case of significant ptosis, a breast lift is required.<\/p>\n

All these techniques can be combined to obtain the best results.<\/p>\n
