The shape of the nose is an essential element of the face, and even the smallest detail can break the natural harmony of the nose and, consequently, of the face.<\/p>\n

Medical rhinoplasty is a non-surgical technique for modifying the shape of the nose by injecting a filler. It is an alternative way of harmonizing certain minor imperfections of the nose.<\/p>\n

The product injected is either hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxyapatite \"radiesse\".<\/p>\n

What areas of the face are treated with Hyaluronic Acid?<\/span><\/h2>\n

        How long do the results last?<\/span><\/h3>\n

        The effects are immediate
        \nAfter 12 to 24 months, the effects of the filler gradually diminish (depending on the product used).<\/p>\n

        They appear on the lateral surface of the nasal root and radiate downwards. They are to be distinguished from transverse wrinkles caused by contraction of the procerus. They are analyzed pre-procedurally and are generally treated at the same time as the glabellar complex.<\/p>\n

        Injection techniques<\/h5>\n

        Injections can be a single median, or two laterals, or a combination of one median and two laterals. Injections should be relatively superficial.<\/p>\n

        The total dose is between 2 and 5 U. One unit per site is generally sufficient. Men rarely benefit from treatment, unlike women.<\/p>\n

        Results and touch-ups<\/h5>\n

        Two different approaches;<\/p>\n

        The surgeon will adopt one of the following techniques:<\/p>\n

        - Open rhinoplasty involves making a small incision at the base of the columella, the band of tissue between the nostrils. A scar, barely visible to the naked eye, usually appears when this area is healed. The advantage of this approach is better control over the reshaping of the cartilage at the tip of the nose.<\/p>\n

        • Closed rhinoplasty, also known as endonasal rhinoplasty, involves making incisions through the inside of the nose. This technique generally leaves no external scars, and requires a shorter recovery period than the open technique.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Can rhinoplasty correct a deviated septum?<\/p>\n

          Yes, those who suffer from sinus or breathing problems often experience significant relief after nose surgery. Although not specifically designed to correct a deviated septum as is septoplasty, rhinoplasty can provide the same effect.<\/p>\n

          After surgery, your nose will be sensitive. In most cases, the nose will swell and hematomas may appear. Swelling and hematomas are normal consequences of this surgery and nothing to worry about.<\/p>\n

          The effects of nose surgery appear gradually as swelling disappears and the nose adapts to its new shape. After four to six months, the contours of your nose will refine and the beauty of your new nose will be revealed. Surgical rhinoplasty is permanent.<\/p>\n

          And in humans?<\/p>\n

          The male nose has specific characteristics that make rhinoplasty for men a special procedure.<\/p>\n

          The characteristics of the male nose must be understood within the general anatomy of the face, with the need to respect harmony with the more massive bony skeleton, in particular the more prominent superciliary arches and stronger mandible than in women.<\/p>\n

          The aesthetic canons of the male nose are based on general criteria. A man's nose is rarely turned up, and the naso-labial angle must be closed, otherwise the profile will be transformed, with an undesirable feminization. Similarly, while the male nasal bridge is ideally straight, it cannot be hollowed out, but can in some cases retain a convex appearance without the need to remove any hump.<\/p>\n

          What about medical rhinoplasty?<\/p>\n

          Medical rhinoplasty involves reshaping the nose without surgery.<\/p>\n

          She uses hyaluronic acid injections.<\/p>\n

          However, medical rhinoplasty is not a substitute for surgical rhinoplasty.<\/p>\n

          It is a delicate procedure, requiring a good understanding of the indications, which remain limited.<\/p>\n

          A small bump, for example, can be rectified by injecting the product upstream and downstream of the bump to restore a smoother profile line or correct a slightly crooked nose.<\/p>\n

          To achieve this, we use a very dense hyaluronic acid, which the surgeon injects into both the bony and cartilaginous parts of the nose.<\/p>\n

          The technique is also very useful for correcting certain imperfections of the tip, such as asymmetry of the wing cartilages or divergence (tip splitting in two) or lack of projection of the tip (nose too short), or a tip that is too pinched, etc.\". The injections are not very painful, with the exception of the tip, which is a little more sensitive.<\/p>\n
