Aesthetic medicine

As we age, the effects of aging become increasingly present, and time marks the features of the face.

Thanks to aesthetic medicine, facial rejuvenation techniques have become gentler and more effective. Injectables have greatly evolved and injection techniques have been refined.

Two injectables are widely used to fill wrinkles and combat the effects of aging: hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin.

Hyaluronic acid

Injections ofHYALURONIC ACID do not require anesthesia and are performed during a consultation.

A session lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the number of areas to be treated. The first consultation requires an in-depth discussion with the patient, so as to best adapt his or her wishes to the technical possibilities. After the injection session, you can return to your normal life.

Hyaluronic acid is used in particular to fill nasolabial folds, lips and cheekbones, as well as forehead and bitterness lines (lower corner of the lips).

Following hyaluronic acid injections, facial rejuvenation is immediate, with results gradually fading over 8 to 12 months.

 Botulinum toxin (Botox)

Visit BOTULINUM TOXINBotulinum toxin, commonly abbreviated "botox", does not have the same mode of action as hyaluronic acid, but reduces the contraction of facial muscles. As with hyaluronic acid injections, botulinum toxin injections do not require anesthesia. Sessions last around 15 minutes.

Botulinum toxin injections are designed to correct horizontal forehead wrinkles, frown lines (between the eyebrows), crow's feet, wrinkles around the mouth, and chin and neck wrinkles.

Unlike hyaluronic acid, the effects of botulinum toxin are not immediate: they begin to appear between 3 and 10 days after the injections, then gradually diminish after 4 to 6 months. It is therefore advisable to repeat these injections every 6 months to achieve lasting, stable effects over time.
